Our local representative will meet you at Yichang airport, and escort you to visitor center where passengers take their shuttle bus to wharf. We board the cruise. This evening (about 9:00pm), cruise leaves wharf. Our thrilling Yangtze river tour begins.

After having breakfast, we go to visit Three Gorges Dam Site, the biggest dam in China and the world’s largest hydroelectric station for the usage of the flood control and power generation. Back to cruise and enjoy buffet lunch. 

This afternoon (13:30 - 17:00), we can relax and participate in the activities on cruise. Alternatively, we could join in the shore excursion to visit Tribe of Three Gorges.  

17:00 Go on sailing.

17:10 (estimated)  The cruise will sail through Xiling gorge which is the longest one among the three. Once the most dangerous part with numerous reefs, riffles and rocks, Xiling Gorge is gentler and milder after years of rectification and improvement on the river way as well as the building of Gezhou Dam.

18:10 - 19:00 Captain's welcome reception.

19:00 - 20:30  buffet dinner.

After having breakfast, we will disembark and take small sightseeing boat to visit Shennong Stream. Along with the grandeur, elegance and danger of the Yangtze River, the Shennong Stream has its own unique scenery. It has four natural gorges - Chengnong, Mianzhu, Yingwu and Longchang - and each has unique characteristics. Cruising along the stream by boat, visitors will become immersed in the wonders of zigzagging watercourses, the primitive environment, the canzonet by the boat tracker, and the mysterious culture along the banks. Afterwards, we go back to cruise and go on sailing.

11:30 - 12:30 enjoy buffet lunch.

14:40  (estimated), the cruise will sail through Wu Gorge. Wu Gorge (45 km) is filled with flexuous and weird peaks, rising mists and spectacular sightseeing, known for its deep valleys and forest covered mountains. As strange peaks, grotesque rocks as well as fog and clouds surround the gorge, it is usually the most notable of the three gorges. Because of the long and deep canyons in the Wu Gorge, the daily period of sunlight is short which impedes the dispersal of air borne moisture within the gorge and so creates clouds and fog in a variety of fantastic shapes. How wonderful it is!

15:00  (estimated), sail through Qutang Gorge which is the shortest one of the Three Gorges (only 8 km). While it's regarded as the most dramatic and gorgeous one by many tourists, with the width of the river here reduced to 100-200 meters and the narrowest places no more than a few dozen meters.

This afternoon (13:30 - 17:00), 0we can relax and participate in the activities on cruise. Alternatively, we could join in the shore excursion to visit Tribe of Three Gorges.

15:30 - 18:00, Shore excursion (optional extra cost).

We disembark and visit White Emperor City (also called Baidi Temple). White Emperor City is also known as the City of Poems because so many poets, including the Poet Immortal Li Bai who wrote about "Departing from Baidi in the Morning", and the Poet Sage Du Fu who even resided here for nearly two years and wrote about 1,400 poems. This ancient temple is located at the top of Baidi Mountain directly overlooking the Qutang Gorge, one of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River. It is also the best place to overlook “Kui Gate” which is at the entrance to Qutang Gorge. Two perpendicular cliffs rear over the river surface on either side, looking like a pair of giant door leaves. After the tour, we go back to the cruise and go on sailing.

19:00 - 20:30  buffet dinner.

After having breakfast, we will disembark and visit Shibaozhai (08:00 - 10:00). The Pagoda is 12-story, 18th century temple built on the northern bank of Yangtze River. It represents one of the gems of Chinese Architecture, an architectural delight. The Temple structure consists of gateway, tower body and the top temple Tianzi Palace. With 56-meter high, this tower has 12 floor and become one of the eight most oddity designed structures in the world due to the tower’s extraordinary design. It is an architectural delight, having been built without nails. The temple is relying on the peak and stairs is the only way to climb the peak. It is said that the higher one climbs in the temple, the more likely your wish or dreams will come true. This may be easier said than done, since each floor of the Shibaozhai Temple is reached via a creaky, unstable ladder. When climbing up to the top of Shibaozhai Temple, you will find there are so many historical & cultural relics waiting for you to discover. After tour, we go back to cruise and go on sailing.

12:00 - 13:10 buffet lunch.

14:00 - 16:30 Shore Excursion (optional extra cost).

cruise is docked at Fengdu wharf (8:10am - 10:40am), we take a shore excursion to the legendary Fengdu Ghost City. Explore the special ghost culture here and marvel at the weird sculptures of ghosts and the buildings of the "underworld". After tour, back to cruise and go on sailing.

19:00 - 20:20 Captain's farewell banquet.

Disembark cruise - visit Chongqing.

08:00 - 08:30  disembark at Chongqing port.

Your private tour guide will meet you at wharf, then we drive to visit Dazu Rock Carvings which were created from the late Tang Dynasty (618~907) to the early Song Dynasty (960~1127). With the theme of Buddhism, Dazu cliffside carvings are distributed in Beishan, Baodingshan, Nanshan, Shimenshan and Shizhuanshan. You will spend the day visiting Baodingshan Carvings located about 527 meters above sea level. It mainly consists of the Dafowan Rock Carvings Area and Xiaofowan Rock Carvings Area. There are about 10,000 statues of Buddha carved on the 500-meter cliff in the U-shape Dafowan. It is said to be a long narrative mural with plenty of commentary but no repeated content. 

After tour, we drive back to Chongqing and visit Hongya cave. The area overlooks the intersection of two rivers, and has a bustling nightlife and other leisure entertainment services. After dinner, we drive to airport and take flight to Shanghai.
