This morning, we take bullet train to Huangshan (around 3hrs). Your private tour guide will meet you at Huangsha North railway station, then we drive to visit Hongcun Village. After tour, we drive to hotel.

Hongcun Village:

With its serene environment and traditional features, Hongcun Village is listed as one of China's top 10 charming villages and, together with Xidi, was inscribed onto UNESCO's World Cultural Heritage List in the year 2000. Dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, Hongcun Village is an exceptionally well-preserved traditional Chinese village, with 140 old residential buildings left from the history. The architecture and carvings of these residences are definitely worth seeing. Walking into this village, you will feel that as if you have stepped into a traditional Chinese painting.

This morning, your private tour guide will meet you at hotel lobby. Then, we drive to visit Xidi ancient village. After lunch, we drive to Yellow Mountain scenic area. We take the shuttle bus of scenic area to Cloud Valley cable car Station. The cable car will take us to White Goose Ridge Station. The hiking begins. We' ll see fascinating pavilion, Black Tiger Pine, The Flower Grown Out of Rock, Beginning-to-Believe Peak, Dawn Pavilion, Refreshing Terrace, Lion Peak, A Monkey Gaping at Sea...We'll stay in Xihai hotel tonight. The hotel is located at summit of mountain.

Xidi village:

Xidi Village was listed along with Hongcun Village as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in the year 2000. These two ancient villages are the most representative local-style residences in southern Anhui Province. 

Surrounded by green mountains, with clear streams flowing through it and goldfish ponds scattered throughout it, and with paddy fields placed in front of it, Xidi Village looks too picturesque to be real. With a history of over 900 years, Xidi Village is segmented by over 99 ancient winding and narrow lanes which are paved with cobblestones or black stones. 

Wandering around the village, we will discover traditional Hui-style houses, ancestral temples, academies of classical learning, stone archways, white walls and grey tiles, beautifully paned windows, projecting horse-head walls, and stone slab bridge. These features are all centuries old and the residents live as they always have making Xidi Village an open-air museum.

Yellow Mountain:

Reputed as the Most Fantastic Mountain under Heaven, Huangshan Mountain (Yellow Mountain)is the place where you can find all traditional Chinese painting elements.In the long history of China,landscape paintings are among one of the most important. High mountains, ancient pines,bizarre rocks, and seas of clouds form the essential elements of ancient scrolls of Chinese landscape paintings.

And here, in Mt. Huangshan, all of these elements come alive. Inscribed on UNESCO's World Cultural and Natural Heritage List in 1990, Huangshan Mountain is one of China's most popular tourist destinations. Its extraordinary natural beauty and profound cultural heritage attracts people at home and abroad. With its ever changing scenes, Mt. Huangshan has also become a hotspot for photography lovers. The seas of clouds, sunrises, sunsets, oddly-shaped pines and rocks, winter snow, forests, and cliffs together make thousands of unique and spectacular scenes just waiting to be captured on camera. Among all its beauties, the most featured ones are the "Four Wonders", including the fantastic pines,grotesque rocks, sea of clouds and hot springs.

Get up earlier, we walk to Red Cloud Peak (about 20min from hotel) and enjoy nice view of sunrise (according to weather condition). Then we go back to hotel and have breakfast. After check-out (about 8:10AM - 8:30AM), we go to visit the Bright-Top Peak, Fly Over Rock, Haixin Pavilion, The Turtle Peak, Lianhua Peak, Yuping Peak, Welcoming Guest Pine...We may reach Yuping cable car station at dusk (1:30PM-2:00PM). We' ll take cable car down the mountain and drive to Huangshan North railway station and take bullet train back to Shanghai.
