Our tour guide will meet you at hotel lobby, then we drive to visit Royal Palace compound where the Royal Family still reside today. Continue to the Silver Pagoda, with its flooring made up of silver tiles.

Then, we drive to visit National Museum, a pleasant building in Khmer traditional style, which the houses sculptures and other artefacts.

Before lunch, we visit the Art Deco Psar Thmei or central market. This afternoon, we'll firstly visit the Tuol Sleng Museum of Genocide housed in the notorious S-21 detention centre itself. Afterwards, take a journey into the peaceful countryside at the city limits to the equally chilling Choeung Ek memorial, on the site of one of several 'killing fields' to be found around the whole country.

Return to the city centre, and  visit Wat Phnom on the only hill in an otherwise flat landscape. After a riverside promenade, we transfer back to hotel. 

    This morning, we take a flight to Siem Reap. Our local representative will meet you at airport, and then we drive to hotel. Free time this afternoon.

Our tour guide will meet you at hotel lobby, then we drive to pier of Tonle Sap river. Take a boat to visit this floating village.
Tonle Sap, Cambodia's unique 'Great Lake'. During the dry months the lake may be around 2500 square kilometres in size. But in the rainy season, when the mighty Mekong River is swollen with snow melt from its icy origin in Tibet, the force of the water rushing through Phnom Penh causes the adjoining Tonle Sap River to reverse its flow, spilling into the lake some 100 kilometres north-west and quadrupling its size in a good year.

A bumper crop of freshwater fish results making the lake a most important source of nutrition for all Cambodians. Nature also feasts on this bounty, the mangroves hosting over 100 species of waterbirds, along with otter, macaques and the odd crocodile.
Visit Chong Khneas village supporting a community of Khmer and Vietnamese inhabitants. The village consists of dwellings anchored to the lake bed, with a floating school, police station, and shops.

   Our tour guide will meet you at hotel lobby(8:00am), then we drive visit the magnificent Angkor Wat, amongst the largest religious edifices in world. Continue to Angkor Thom which was the  royal capital of prolific builder Jayavarman VII, dating from the late twelfth century. Most striking of the monuments is the Bayon, a mountain of face-towers, said to be the likeness of the king himself, viewing his realm in all directions.

Round off the morning with a stop at the photogenic South Gate of Angkor Thom where the gods and demons line up in a cosmic tug-of-war. Lunch is Khmer style in a village surrounded by rice paddies. Enjoy a spread of great local food followed by a nap lazing in a hammock, or explore the village to see the traditional way of life and play with the families there.

After lunch visit the beautiful Ta Prohm temple. Feel like one of the early explorers as you visit this temple which has been left to be reclaimed by the jungle. If time permits finish the day climbing one of the oldest buildings in the Angkor complex, the brick temple of Pre Rup. After tour, we transfer back to hotel.

    Our tour guide will meet you at hotel lobby(8:00am), then we drive to visit Banteay Srei first. Unlike the other temples built through royal patronage, Banteay Srei alone was privately built which is thought to be a reason for its modest scale. What it lacks in size it makes up for in decoration, almost all the surfaces covered in fine stone carvings. Before lunch visit well preserved Banteay Samre.

In the afternoon, we visit Neak Pean first. It's a fountain built in the middle of a pool representing the paradisiacal Himalayan mountain lake. Continue to visit Preah Khan which was built by the Buddhist King Jayavarman VII contrasts with the earlier Hindu structures.

Afterwards, we transfer to visit Ta Som, a small Buddhist temple dedicated to the father of King Jayavarman VII. The East Mebon is the attraction which we will visit today. It is a 10th Century temple from the reign of King Rajendravarman, standing on what was an artificial island at the centre of the now dry East Baray reservoir.

   This morning, we take a flight to Sihanoukville. Our local representative will meet you at Sihanoukville airport and escort you to hotel. No tour is arranged , we just relax ourselves in the beachfront resort, stroll along the beach, breathe fresh air....

   We leave hotel (11:30am-12:00noon) and drive to airport where we take a flight to Siem Reap(arrival 3:30pm). Then, you wander around the city by yourselves. In the evening, we take the flight back to Shanghai (departure/arrival, 10:50pm/04:00am+1).
